@granolasundays told me to try again, so I did! These tomato plants look SO much better than my first try. Phew! With @urbangardeningcanada and @thegreatwhitenortheh tips on growing stellar tomatoes, I may actually get a harvest 🤣 This is why I am so grateful for this gardening community!
Meet #corneliusthedragon , the main character of my first recently published children’s book. In this heartwarming story, the garden is a place of healing and love, and ultimately helps Cornelius find his way.
What is that one plant or blossom you “can’t get over”; you admire it every year, you gasp at its beauty, you welcome it home like a dear friend. For me it’s fruit tree blossoms, specifically pear. It’s #nomowmay y’all, so take a break and skip on the watering, pesticides, and mowing. Why? Because studies show that the bee population is very much affected by this (as well as other pollinators). Early plants for pollinators include dandelions, clover, and more - they need these as food sources in the spring. By not mowing, we help grow the food they need to help us grow the food we need.
