Must share this blog post from Plastic Planet. This reminds me a lot of the photography from Gregg Segal and the art pieces of Chris Jordan, highlighting the amount of waste we create, and the amount of plastic waste that ends up in and threatens our oceans. It’s sad in a way that we need pieces of art to show us the visual impact that our plastic waste has on the world, but it reminds us that it is far too easy to throw something in the garbage, never to be seen again once the trucks pick it up and bring it to the landfill. Where does it go? What does it look like when my garbage joins the thousands of other folks’ garbage over years and years? There is no “away”!
